Do you know that Chatur was never a planned character in the movie 3 Idiots? Oh yes. Raju Hirani was actually auditioning for Sharman Joshi's role, but destiny had some different plans. People who were auditioning found Omi Vaidya so unique that they spontaneously sketched out the character of 'Chatur' which later went on to become one of the most famous characters from the blockbuster film.

Manjot Singh, popularly known as 'Lucky' of Oye Lucky! Lucky Oye! Auditioned for the role that finally went to Rajat Barmecha. Later he evidently became one of the most popular choices of the UTV Clan because he got roles in films like Fukrey and Shaitan. Manjot also won the Filmfare Critics Award for the Best Actor category for his performance in Oye Lucky! Lucky Oye!.
